The episode is titled – “Please Hold While I Singe My Skull.”
Teams were given $110 for this leg of the race. Terence and Sarah received a thirty minute penalty for being pulled over for speeding at the start of this leg. Although they checked into the Pit Stop in third place at the end of the last episode, they departed in fifth at the start of this one
Six teams remain at the start of this leg. From the Pit Stop at Bayon Temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia, the six teams are instructed to fly 2,000 miles to New Delhi, India. Once they land they are instructed to find their way to Moonlight Motors. All the teams find themseleves on the same flight to India but while making their way to Moonlight Motors, some teams get lost and lose a huge amount of time. Ken & Tina are one of the teams who get really lost. Terence & Sarah as well.
At Moonlight Motors, teams face a Roadblock and were given the clue “Who’s got an artistic flair?” to determine who should complete the Roadblock.
In this Roadblock, called “Go Green,” one member of each team had to cover portions of an auto rickshaw with newspaper and then spray-paint the uncovered portions green.
Starr, Andrew, Toni, Ken, Sarah and Kelly successfuly completed this task for their respective teams
Terence kept on shouting at Sarah during this Roadblock as did Tina to Ken. This made both these teams lag behind.
After the Roadblock, teams had to make their way to The Ambassador Hotel, where a doorman gave them a clue in the garden. This clue led them to their Detour.
The teams were given a Detour choice of either Launder Money or Launder Clothes. In Launder Money, the teams traveled to Prakash Banquet Hall and then were required to create a wedding necklace with 780 Rs of Indian rupees, using a total of ten notes. In Launder Clothes, teams traveled to a local laundry shop and then used a charcoal-heated iron to press 20 pieces of clothing.
Launder Clothes was successfully completed by Nick & Starr, Toni & Dallas, Andrew & Dan and Kelly & Christy.
On arriving, Kelly & Christy were annoyed that they got beat by Nick & Starr and that they had gloves. Nick & Starr were smart to take out their gloves. Andrew & Dan really had a tough time completing this task. Toni & Dallas went quietly along with this task.
Launder Money was successfully completed by Ken & Tina and Terence & Sarah.
After completing the Detour, teams were given their final clue for this leg. It instructed them to make their way to the Pit-Stop. Nick & Starr finished the detour quickly and raced to the Pit Stop in first place.
Ken & Tina who continued to have navigational problems throughout the leg, came in last, but were not eliminated.
The teams finished in the following order:
#1. Nick and Starr (Prize: One Electric Car Each)
#2. Kelly and Christy
#3. Toni and Dallas
#4. Terence and Sarah
#5. Andrew and Dan
#6. Ken and Tina (Must complete Speed Bump at some point during next leg).
Quotes;
Dan: [Kelly and Christy] have gotten the luckiest breaks I’ve ever seen on this race. Being, you know, semi-attractive females—that’s helped them a lot so far.
Andrew: “Semi-attractive.” (chuckles) That was good
Dallas: (to the greeter at the Pit Stop) You have fire on your head. That’s insane
So do you think Ken & Tina will be able to overcome their Speed Bunp and not come in last?
Do you think it is time Kely & Christy get eliminated?
How much longer do the Frat Boys have on the race?
