The four remaining teams set off from their Pit Stop in a public park in Moscow, Russia. They recieve a clue instructing them to travel to a retired Russian nuclear submarine and find an actor that appeared in the film, “The Hunt For Red October”. After finding the actor, the clue they recieve from him instructs them to travel to the Park Iskusstve also known as Graveyard of Fallen Monuments. Here they find a Roadblock.
The Roadblock tests the powers of observation. Nick, Dallas, Tina & Andrew successfully complete the task for their respective teams.
NOTE: Upon completing the Roadblock, Dallas accidently left the bag containing his and Toni’s money and passports in a taxi. He was unable to retrieve it. They then turn to begging for the rest of the leg as they have no money left.
Upon comepleting the Roadblock, teams then have to travel to Sokol’niky Park where they have to find a lady with a Shetland Pony. Then they will recieve their next clue.
Dan & Andrew, before starting the detour had to complete a Speed Bump. A task which only they had to do because they were spared elimination in the last leg. They had to perform a dance routine with a group of traditional Russian dancers. They completed it pretty fast and then started their detour.
They then hit upon the Detour. This is a choice between two tasks, each with its own Pros and Cons. Teams were given a choice between Ride The Rails or Ride The Lines. In Ride The Rails, teams had to travel on foot to the Sokol’niky Metro Park and then catch a train. They had to find a marked snack shop and retrieve a pastry, the wrapping of which contained their next clue. They then had to once again ride the rails and find a Babushka, exchanging the pastry for a clue to their final destination.
In Ride the Lines, teams had to hop a trolley bus and then locate a key maker, who handed them a key to a locker. They then had to catch another trolley to the location with the lockers and use the key to open the proper locker and retrieve the clue to the final destination.
Nick & Starr successfully completed Ride the Rails. Ken & Tina and Andrew & Dan successfully completed Ride the Lines. Toni & Dallas also opted for this task, but were eliminated in the field before they could complete it.
Then clue to the final destination was the Pit Stop.
Teams Finished In The Following Order:
1. Nick & Starr
2. Dan & Andrew
3. Ken & Tina
4. Toni & Dallas [They were eliminated]
NOTE: Dan and Andrew are the third team in The Amazing Race history to make it to the final three without winning a leg. The other two are Lyn & Karlyn from Season 10 and Eric & Danielle from season 11.
NOTE: Nick and Starr tie the record for most legs won in a single race with six. Only Colin and Christie from Season 5 have matched this feat.
Quotes:
Starr: When Nick and I started this race, our only goal was to not get eliminated the first leg. Now that we’re finally racing for the million dollars, it’s just absolutely surreal.
Dallas: I lost the bag with all the money. So now we don’t have a passport or any money.
NOTE: This was not specifically mentioned in this episode, the lack of passports with Toni & Dallas will prevent them from being present to greet the final three teams at the finish line of the race.
Don’t you just feel bad for Toni & Dallas? I certainly do. What a horrible way to be eliminated.
Dan & Andrew.. only the third team to make it to the final three without winning a leg. How good will they be in the final three?
Ken & Tina… Will their relationship problems make them lose out on valuable time and eventually lose out in the race for $1 Million?
Nick & Starr… They are looking stronger than ever. What do you say?
Next week is the Final Three! YAY!

I’d have to say that I’m EXTREMELY happy with the way the race ended. The right team (the most dominating team) won. It must have really ate up Kelly & Christy that they won but it was very well deserved.
